Company

hirify.global is an AI-native cybersecurity company that uses behavioral AI to prevent attacks and processes data across global jurisdictions.

What you will do

  • Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the global privacy program across GDPR/UK GDPR, the EU AI Act, NIS2, DORA, the EU Data Act, US state privacy laws, and other international frameworks.
  • Advise on international data transfers, including SCCs, the UK IDTA, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, and transfer impact assessments.
  • Execute AI governance and privacy-by-design activities for AI products, including AI Act classification, model data governance, secondary data-use analysis, and vendor diligence.
  • Oversee privacy operations covering DSARs, data mapping, ROPA, DPIA/PIA/TIA/LIA assessments, retention, consent and cookie management, and audit support.
  • Design, deploy, and improve AI-enabled privacy workflows with Legal Operations and Engineering, including DPIA triage and subprocessor determination, while maintaining high accuracy and human review.
  • Advise on commercial and procurement agreements, incident and breach response, DPO support, regulatory inquiries, customer audits, and implementation of emerging regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and membership in good standing of at least one U.S. state bar.
  • CIPP/E and CIPP/US certifications.
  • 6–8+ years of relevant experience with strong depth in privacy and data protection law and program execution.
  • Deep, current expertise in European privacy and digital regulation, including GDPR/UK GDPR, with working familiarity with NIS2, DORA, the EU AI Act, and the EU Data Act.
  • Experience operating in or advising technology companies, ideally in cybersecurity, SaaS, or cloud, including AI/ML products.
  • Experience contributing to and helping run a privacy program beyond pure advisory work in a fast-moving, global environment.
  • Experience providing product legal counseling alongside privacy.
  • Strong drafting and judgment on DPAs, SCCs, and subprocessor terms, including setting positions, serving as an escalation point, and identifying novel issues.
  • Pragmatic judgment, accountability for significant or ambiguous issues, initiative ownership with minimal oversight, leadership through influence, and the ability to persuade senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including explaining complex privacy issues to business stakeholders.
  • Fluency with AI tooling and the ability to specify, prototype, refine, and operate automation workflows to a high accuracy and human-review standard.

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting a DPO, including familiarity with independence and governance expectations.
  • Familiarity with privacy regimes beyond the EU and US, such as LGPD, PIPEDA, and APPI.
  • Experience supporting Works Councils and multi-jurisdiction employee or candidate privacy.
  • Experience with privacy tooling and AI/LLM-based workflow automation.
  • Familiarity with SOC 2 and ISO 27001/27701/42001 audit frameworks.
  • CIPM, CIPT, or AIGP certifications.

Culture & Benefits

  • Remote work in the USA within an AI-native cybersecurity company.
  • Opportunity to build and scale the privacy function and design AI automation for privacy work.
  • Work at the intersection of privacy, AI governance, product counseling, and security.
  • Competitive salary, benefits, equity, and potential bonus or incentive compensation.
  • Opportunity for the role to grow toward greater program ownership.

Hiring process

  • AI-assisted tools may help recruiters prepare interview questions and discussion areas, but do not make hiring or automated screening decisions.
  • Successful candidates undergo pre-employment checks before a final offer.
