Senior Supply Chain Manufacturing Engineer - Electronics

Location: Hybrid work schedule in Buffalo, NY and East Aurora, NY; approximately 25% travel to supplier locations.

Salary: $85,000–$145,000 annually

What you will do

• Support the manufacture of complex electronic components and assemblies across the supplier base.
• Conduct supplier capability assessments, technical risk evaluations, and manufacturing process reviews.
• Partner with Design Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and suppliers to communicate design intent and improve manufacturability.
• Recommend manufacturing processes, tooling, inspection methods, and process controls.
• Support supplier development, corrective actions, process capability, capacity, quality, and delivery improvements.
• Lead or participate in DFX, DFMA, PPAP, PFMEA/FMEA, MSA, Gage R&R, and continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 7 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering environment.
• Experience conducting manufacturing capability assessments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills.
• Ability to collaborate across disciplines, organizations, and supplier partners.
• Ability to work in the hybrid Buffalo/East Aurora, NY arrangement and travel approximately 25% to suppliers.

Nice to have

• Electronics manufacturing, electrical engineering, NPI, APQP, or PPAP experience.
• Experience with SMT, PCB, SMD, ESD controls, soldering, AOI, functional testing, and electronics rework.
• Knowledge of DFMA, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, capability analysis, error-proofing, GD&T, and aerospace quality standards.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Experience planning, procuring, qualifying, and commissioning electronics manufacturing processes.
