Senior Supplier Development Engineer

Location: On-site in Everett, Washington, USA; travel up to 50% of the time

What you will do

• Work with design engineers and suppliers to understand part, assembly, and subsystem requirements.
• Assess supplier manufacturing processes and quality systems in partnership with procurement.
• Support product ramp from new product introduction through high-volume manufacturing.
• Define supplier technical and quality specifications and implement production part approval processes.
• Develop process controls, receiving inspection standards, and supplier quality documentation requirements.
• Analyze supplier performance, coordinate corrective actions, and resolve quality issues across suppliers, engineering, procurement, and production.

Requirements

• 8+ years of engineering, manufacturing, or supply chain experience involving mechanical or electrical systems, including school projects, clubs, or internships.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or a relevant field.
• Experience managing external suppliers.
• Knowledge of supplier quality processes, including PPAP, APQP, and first article inspection reports.
• Knowledge of statistical techniques such as design of experiments and Six Sigma.
• Experience with ISO 9000 / TS quality systems and willingness to travel up to 50%.
