Hardware Engineer - Process & Quality (Electro-Mechanical Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Drive product quality, manufacturing excellence, and continuous improvement across electro-mechanical production.
• Lead DFM reviews with engineering teams and contract manufacturers, and provide hands-on manufacturing floor support.
• Develop SOPs, inspection plans, control standards, and quality documentation while maintaining document control.
• Own quality metrics, production databases, statistical analysis, yield improvement, and root cause investigations.
• Support NPI launches by defining inspection and validation criteria and ensuring manufacturing readiness.
• Partner with suppliers, contract manufacturers, engineering, operations, customers, and other stakeholders to resolve product issues and manage corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–7+ years of experience in electro-mechanical manufacturing environments.
• Hands-on experience with process troubleshooting, quality engineering, statistical analysis, yield improvement, and root cause methodologies.
• Familiarity with quality systems, inspection standards, technical documentation, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Kaizen methodologies.
• Experience working with contract manufacturers and global suppliers.
• Knowledge of NPI processes and scaling manufacturing operations.
• Familiarity with SPC, FMEA, CAPA, 8D, and related quality tools.
• Experience building or managing data systems for manufacturing analytics.
