Design Specialist-Birmingham Maple Road (Interior Design)

Location: MI - Birmingham, United States; store-based role with in-home consultations and off-site client meetings as needed.

What you will do

• Deliver personalized design consultations and furnishing solutions that meet client needs.
• Build relationships with clients, trade professionals, and the local design community.
• Meet revenue, conversion, client retention, and other sales KPIs through consultative selling.
• Guide clients through product selection, space planning, and styling using design expertise.
• Manage the client lifecycle with CRM tools and outreach strategies.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and complete in-home consultations and off-site meetings as needed.

Requirements

• Design-savvy sales professional with a passion for modern interiors.
• Experience in retail sales, design consulting, or customer success is preferred.
• Background in interior design, architecture, or a related field is preferred.
• Skills in client needs assessment, problem-solving, and relationship building.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and design tools such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, or similar software.
• Ability to lift 20+ lbs and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment; weekend and holiday availability is required.
