Senior Manager, Engineering

Location: Remote; preference given to East Coast candidates

What you will do

• Lead and manage a team of software engineers, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
• Align technical execution with business goals in collaboration with engineering, product, business, architecture, and platform leaders.
• Drive software development best practices, including code reviews, testing, CI/CD pipelines, and agile delivery.
• Oversee the development of scalable, secure, high-performance applications and participate in solution design and architecture.
• Monitor KPIs and metrics, report results to leadership, and provide technical guidance on troubleshooting and implementation.
• Maintain software development lifecycle documentation and evaluate emerging technologies, including generative AI tools.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software development, including at least 3 years in a human capital leadership role.
• 3+ years of experience working with COBOL.
• Strong experience building and maintaining SaaS applications at scale.
• Hands-on experience with Azure and modern software development practices; familiarity with Git.
• Experience with Agile methodologies; Kanban experience is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, plus strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
