Machinist IV - 3rd Shift (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Buffalo, New York; 3rd shift.

Salary: $37.00–$41.00 per hour, plus a 10% shift differential for 3rd-shift employees. A $3,500 sign-on bonus is available under the stated application and bonus-agreement terms.

What you will do

• Perform precision machining operations and CNC programming using CAM systems.
• Create, repair, and modify complex parts, fixtures, tooling, sub-assemblies, and assemblies from various materials.
• Plan jobs, perform fixturing and layout, and machine components to tolerances of .0001–.0002.
• Inspect work and maintain responsibility for the quality of completed parts.
• Collaborate with design draftsmen and manufacturing engineers to resolve unusual conditions, defective materials, and production issues.
• Make technical decisions on fixturing, tooling, setup, and inspection methods when detailed instructions are unavailable.

Requirements

• Six years of experience as a diversified machinist.
• Knowledge of G and M codes.
• Ability to understand and apply verbal, written, and computer-based work instructions or training in English.
• Ability to perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work onsite in Buffalo, New York, on the 3rd shift.

• Previous CAD/CAM experience.
