Senior Hardware Engineer - Capital Platforms (Surgical)

Location: Onsite in Lafayette, Colorado, United States; minimum 4 days per week onsite.

Salary: $120,800–$181,200 USD annually, plus eligibility for the hirify.global Incentive Plan.

What you will do

• Lead the design, analysis, troubleshooting, verification, and integration of complex digital hardware and circuit boards.
• Develop and test electrical components and systems for capital equipment platforms, including electrosurgical generator systems.
• Define technical specifications and verify hardware reliability, performance, and compliance with system and regulatory requirements.
• Provide hands-on laboratory support for prototypes, troubleshooting, and production hardware.
• Collaborate with systems engineering, manufacturing, regulatory, and marketing partners across the product lifecycle.
• Manage component libraries by creating schematic symbols and PCB footprints, maintaining data integrity, and supporting E-CAD standards and reuse.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical-Computer Engineering with 4 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with digital hardware design and complex hardware systems or multi-board architectures.
• Experience with PCB design tools such as Cadence OrCAD, Allegro, or Altium.
• Strong laboratory troubleshooting and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience with component libraries or E-CAD library management.
• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required at hire and throughout employment; sponsorship is not offered for roles below Principal level.
