Senior Engineer, Electrical Test - ATE (Medical Devices)

Location: Valencia, CA, United States — onsite. The role requires approximately 10% domestic and international travel. Remote or hybrid functionality is not applicable to this onsite position.

Salary: $100,320–$150,480 per year, plus bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Specify, architect, analyze, and implement automated test equipment hardware and software for next-generation cochlear implant systems.
• Design and construct ATE systems for verification and manufacturing of Class III medical devices at company and vendor locations.
• Document ATE requirements, designs, test plans, and test procedures.
• Support deployed production test systems, including change notifications, corrective actions, troubleshooting, and product lifecycle issues.
• Identify and procure new testing equipment and technologies, and recommend improvements based on technology and business trends.
• Provide technical support to vendors and improve test-process productivity through automation and process optimization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate engineering field or equivalent experience, with 5+ years of experience in electrical test systems, embedded hardware, and software for Class III medical devices.
• Strong expertise in digital and analog hardware design, RF, PCB layout, test-system troubleshooting, statistical problem-solving, characterization, and project management.
• Strong technical capabilities in LabVIEW, Minitab, DSP, and .NET/C# software development.
• Strong analytical, creative problem-solving, communication, collaboration, adaptability, and prioritization skills.
• English proficiency is required.
• Onsite work in Valencia, California, is required.

Nice to have

• Master of Engineering or related degree and 10+ years of related experience.
• Audio digital signal processing, ISO 13485, CFR 820 Title 21, and process validation experience with IQ, OQ, and PQ.
• Expertise in GR&R and Measurement System Analysis.
• Certified LabVIEW Developer certification and Python development experience.
