Sr Advanced Engineering Support Specialist (PCB Design)

Location: McLeansville, North Carolina, United States; onsite with some hybrid work available.

Salary: USD $126,862–$137,269 per year

What you will do

• Support CCA development for electronics used in high-reliability undersea communication systems.
• Manage ECAD libraries and create PCB layouts using Mentor Graphics tools or Altium.
• Capture schematics and produce bills of materials, ODB++ fabrication packages, and 3D models.
• Apply circuit design, hands-on prototyping, IPC, manufacturing, and CCA fabrication knowledge.
• Communicate with suppliers to clarify design documentation packages when required.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Bachelor’s or technology degree in engineering or a related specialized field with 8 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with 6 years of experience.
• At least two years of experience using Mentor Graphics Xpedition.
• Experience with ECAD/PCB layout design processes and library management practices.
• Knowledge of PCB design tools such as Xpedition, xDM, DXdatabook, BoardStation, HyperLynx, or Altium.
• Knowledge of CCA fabrication techniques, IPC standards, and manufacturing standards.

Nice to have

• Experience with the Xpedition parts request system and Footprint Expert Enterprise 23.
• Experience creating 3D models with SolidWorks, NX, or Creo.
• Experience with HyperLynx, schematic capture in Xpedition, circuit design, and hands-on prototyping.
