What you will do

• Design, simulate, and validate mixed-signal electronics for motion-control sensors and optical encoder systems.
• Develop photodiode interface circuits, LED and VCSEL drivers, analog front ends, and low-noise signal-conditioning circuits.
• Analyze encoder signal quality, including amplitude balance, phase error, harmonics, noise, and interpolation accuracy.
• Develop and review PCB layouts, troubleshoot electronic subsystems, and conduct diagnostic and system-level testing.
• Collaborate with optical, mechanical, firmware, manufacturing, and other engineering teams on system integration and product development.
• Document designs and test results, support supplier DFM questions, and apply structured problem-solving methods to improve quality and reliability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of electrical engineering experience focused on mixed-signal circuit design, development, and testing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related advanced field.
• Proficiency in analog and digital electronics, laboratory experimentation, troubleshooting, and test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and signal generators.
• Experience with Altium PCB design tools and LTspice or comparable simulation software.
• Knowledge of EtherCAT, BiSS-C, SPI, and SSI communication protocols.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with optical or magnetic encoders, torque sensors, photodiodes, transimpedance amplifiers, and encoder signal processing.
• Familiarity with MATLAB, Python, or embedded C++ firmware.
• Knowledge of Sin/Cos interpolation, error compensation, and position feedback systems.
