Senior Manager, Cloud Engineering and Infrastructure

Location: Libertyville, Illinois, US; hybrid work with onsite attendance required at least 4 days per week

Salary: $190,000–$215,000 yearly, plus eligibility for the hirify.global Corporate Bonus Plan

What you will do

• Lead and develop a global Infrastructure and Cloud Engineering team responsible for 24x7x365 support.
• Set strategy, engineering standards, architecture alignment, lifecycle management, and modernization plans for hybrid infrastructure.
• Improve reliability through SLAs, SLOs, KPIs, observability, capacity management, patching, backup, and configuration compliance.
• Lead major incident response, problem management, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and post-incident learning.
• Advance automation, infrastructure-as-code, configuration management, and repeatable deployment patterns.
• Own disaster recovery and resiliency planning while managing vendors, budgets, forecasts, infrastructure costs, and executive communications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 12 years of progressive IT experience, including 8+ years supporting enterprise hybrid infrastructure and cloud platforms in a 24x7 environment.
• At least 7 years leading engineering or infrastructure operations teams with accountability for production services, controls, metrics, and continuous improvement.
• Strong expertise across Windows and/or Linux, virtualization, storage and backup, data centers, Azure, Microsoft 365 dependencies, networking, identity/RBAC, monitoring, and cost management.
• Experience with ITIL-aligned incident, problem, and change management, cybersecurity partnership, vulnerability management, audit readiness, and disaster recovery.
• Fluent English is required. Onsite attendance in Libertyville is required at least 4 days per week.
