Director, Assistant Controller (AI)

Location: Denver, Colorado, or San Francisco, California, United States; expected to work from a hirify.global office 3+ days per week. Relocation to a hirify.global hub may be supported.

Salary: $230,000–$270,000 USD in San Francisco, or $195,000–$229,000 USD in Denver.

What you will do

• Lead and develop a team across general ledger accounting, treasury, and technical accounting.
• Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close while reducing timelines and strengthening reconciliations and controls.
• Design and maintain accounting policies and processes compliant with US GAAP.
• Serve as the in-house US GAAP technical accounting expert and improve financial reporting quality.
• Partner with Corporate Engineering to optimize Oracle Fusion and automate the accounting technology stack.
• Lead the external audit and support corporate development with M&A activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 12+ years of progressively increasing accounting and leadership experience.
• Deep expertise in U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Demonstrated success shortening close cycles and building durable accounting processes.
• CPA certification is strongly preferred.
• Big 4 and industry experience are preferred; SOX-controlled environment experience is a plus.
