TL;DR
Senior Manager, Technical Accounting & SEC Reporting (US GAAP/SEC): Leading financial reporting, technical accounting research, general ledger ownership, and month-end close activities with an accent on complex accounting matters, lender reporting, and SOX controls. Focus on automating and accelerating the close process, preparing for public-company reporting, and ensuring accurate treatment of revenue, acquisitions, stock compensation, and internal-use software.
Location: Remote within the US or based from the Bethesda, MD office. The listed location is Arlington, VA.

is hiring for its Business Operations – Accounting & Finance function.
What you will do
- Lead preparation of US GAAP financial statements, related disclosures, and anticipated Form 10-K and 10-Q reporting.
- Research and document complex technical accounting matters, including revenue recognition, acquisition accounting, guarantees, and share-based compensation.
- Coordinate quarterly reviews and annual audits with external auditors, executive leadership, and the Audit Committee.
- Own general ledger, month-end and quarter-end close activities, including accruals, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and fluctuation analysis.
- Prepare lender reporting packages, covenant-compliance calculations, and related communications.
- Implement automation and process improvements to accelerate the close while strengthening SOX controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA and/or public accounting experience.
- 10–12+ years of relevant accounting and financial reporting experience, including general ledger and month-end close ownership.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting.
- Hands-on experience with accruals, reconciliations, internal-use software capitalization, and financial statement close activities.
- Experience using close-management, reconciliation, or ERP tools to automate or accelerate the close.
Nice to have
- Experience adopting new accounting standards and leading significant business process changes.
- Experience with FloQast, NetSuite, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, or AI-enabled accounting workflows.
- Strong accounting research, analytical, quantitative, communication, and project-management skills.
