Senior Software Engineer - Android

Location: US Remote. hirify.global uses a hybrid employment model near offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, New York, and London.

Salary: $165,000–$250,000 USD annually, with potential for a higher level-based offer.

What you will do

• Develop and improve Android product features, especially the main feed and post creation tools.
• Contribute across networking, analytics, experimentation, modularization, and testing infrastructure.
• Build polished Android interfaces that follow platform conventions and support a high-volume user experience.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to ship features quickly and reliably.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering culture and technical standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of engineering experience or advanced expertise in the domain.
• Strong ability to deliver polished, reliable Android features consistently.
• Experience testing Android code with frameworks such as JUnit, MockK, or Roborazzi.
• Self-motivation and flexibility to improve any part of the application, from UI components to analytics infrastructure.
• Active use of AI tools such as Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, or Glean in the engineering workflow.

Nice to have

• Expertise in Kotlin and modern Android development with Jetpack Compose and Coroutines.
• Experience with OkHttp, Retrofit, Apollo GraphQL, MVI, or Mavericks.
• Experience architecting large Android applications with Gradle, modularization, and dependency injection using Metro.
