Senior FDE (Fintech)

What you will do

• Own the technical design and end-to-end delivery of client workstreams, including scope, sequencing, milestones, quality, and delivery risks.
• Translate client operating models into LUSID structures across asset classes and operational workflows.
• Build and configure data pipelines, integrations, Luminesce queries, workflows, scheduler jobs, and config-driven deployments using fbnconfig.
• Debug across LUSID, Luminesce, SDKs, workflows, deployments, and system resources to identify root causes.
• Lead client relationships, steering committees, escalations, product feedback, documentation, training, and technical communication.
• Set engineering standards, review designs and code, mentor FDEs and graduates, and contribute to scope, pricing, and effort estimates.

Requirements

• Basic C# knowledge, object-oriented programming fundamentals, and the ability to read and follow an existing codebase.
• Familiarity with command-line AI coding tools such as Claude Code or similar tools.
• Strong analytical, debugging, root-cause investigation, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to explain technical details to non-engineering colleagues and work collaboratively in an agile environment.
• Interest in financial instruments, valuations, and well-tested software.
• Ability to work in a hybrid role based in London, United Kingdom.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of C# and experience debugging or extending a commercial codebase independently.
• Financial services experience, including valuations, P&L, IBOR, or portfolio management.
• Experience with automated testing such as NUnit, Postgres, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, or Azure.
• Familiarity with CI/CD workflows.
