Software Engineer, Core Platform (Node/TypeScript)

Location: Remote - United States

Base salary: $150,000–$175,000 USD per year, depending on geographic location, knowledge, skills, and experience.

What you will do

• Develop backend software and APIs for ingesting, processing, and routing telemetry data.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain clear, robust code for customer-facing features.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers to turn specifications into product designs and implementation plans.
• Create test plans and comprehensive automated tests to verify product functionality.
• Own software end to end, including participation in on-call and customer support rotations.
• Handle stand-by, on-call, or off-hours duties when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, networking, operating systems, distributed systems, and scalability principles.
• Experience building products that use large-scale datasets with Node and TypeScript.
• Knowledge of systems-level debugging, performance profiling, and tuning.
• Experience developing software or services for cloud-based platforms and working with Agile processes.
• Ability to comply with U.S. government security requirements for FedRAMP-authorized systems, which may include U.S. citizenship.
