Land Surveyor/Survey Technician (Civil Engineering)

What you will do

• Perform field surveys as crew members and handle office drafting tasks.
• Utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D to produce detailed survey maps from field data.
• Integrate emerging technologies including UAVs, terrestrial scanning, and close-range photogrammetry into workflows.
• Manage Records of Survey, Legal Descriptions, and Boundaries Re-establishments.
• Develop and document internal survey standards and operational workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Land Surveying or a related field.
• Must possess a valid CA driver’s license.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Approximately five years of progressive experience in land surveying.
• Ability to lift and carry instruments weighing up to 75 pounds over rough terrain.

Nice to have

• LSIT (Land Surveyor-in-Training) or EIT (Engineer-in-Training) certification.
• Experience with Trimble Business Center and Trimble Access.
• FAA remote pilot license for sUAV piloting.
