Process Sustaining Engineer (Trim & Form)

What you will do

• Maintain, optimize, and improve trim and form equipment across multiple semiconductor package types.
• Analyze equipment downtime using MTBF and MTBA metrics, implement mitigation plans, and verify scheduled downtime activities.
• Partner with Process Engineering, R&D, NPI, Product Design, and Reliability teams on product qualification, equipment readiness, and technology transfers.
• Diagnose equipment, tooling, and process defects affecting yield and product quality, while driving MVA, yield, and UPH improvements.
• Develop and maintain control plans, process specifications, SOPs, FMEAs, and technical reports.
• Plan technician coverage for 24/7 operations, mentor technicians, manage spare parts and suppliers, and optimize related costs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 1–2 years of semiconductor industry experience, including at least 1 year with trim and form equipment and tooling.
• Hands-on experience with semiconductor trim and form machines.
• Knowledge of tooling design, material behavior, GD&T, tolerances, and metrology equipment.
• Proficiency with JMP and Minitab, statistical analysis, and technical documentation.
• Leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills, including experience guiding technicians in 24/7 manufacturing.

• Experience with metrology equipment.
