Software Engineer - Expert (Cybersecurity)

Location: Ft George G Meade, Maryland; National Capital Region (NCR) or San Antonio, Texas. U.S. citizenship is required.

Salary: $122,000–$253,000 per year, based on qualifications, experience, and expertise.

What you will do

• Lead architecture and design of critical components for the unified AMS/FIPE solution.
• Provide technical leadership for complex engineering challenges and establish coding standards and best practices.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting, performance optimization, and support for critical production issues.
• Lead integration with external systems and platforms, including workflow orchestration and automation solutions.
• Implement security architecture and contribute to technical planning and roadmap development.
• Mentor less senior engineers and represent the team in technical exchange meetings with stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least 14 years of software engineering experience, including 5 or more years in cyber operations.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Expert knowledge of distributed systems architecture and multiple technology stacks and programming paradigms.
• Extensive experience with cloud-native development and multi-cloud architectures.
• Advanced understanding of security principles, secure coding practices, and offensive cyber operations mission requirements.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph and U.S. citizenship required.
