Location: Westminster, Colorado, United States.

Salary: $128,000–$170,000–$187,000 annually for Colorado-based roles.

What you will do

  • Serve as the senior technical authority for cybersecurity and compliance across software-intensive mission systems.
  • Translate security and regulatory requirements into technical direction, system architecture, and engineering priorities.
  • Integrate cybersecurity requirements into software development, cloud infrastructure, and operational processes.
  • Assess technical risks and compliance gaps, then guide sustainable remediation strategies.
  • Support security assessments, accreditation, and continuous compliance across classified and unclassified environments.
  • Mentor engineers and apply AI-assisted techniques to compliance analysis, architecture reviews, documentation, and engineering workflows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, computer science, cybersecurity, software engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience applying systems engineering principles to complex software-intensive systems in regulated or classified environments.
  • Experience with cybersecurity compliance frameworks such as NIST, CMMC, or comparable government standards.
  • Strong knowledge of software architecture, cloud technologies, cybersecurity principles, and secure software development.
  • Experience converting security and compliance requirements into system designs and technical implementation plans.
  • Active U.S. Government security clearance and U.S. citizenship are mandatory.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, National Security Space, or other regulated government environments.
  • Knowledge of RMF, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, CMMC, DevSecOps, secure cloud architectures, or continuous compliance.
  • Experience with MBSE or formal systems architecture methods.
  • Cybersecurity or cloud certifications such as CISSP, Security+, or AWS Security Specialty.
