Automotive Service Technician - Red Seal

Location: Richmond, British Columbia, Canada; on-site automotive service role with a Tuesday–Saturday schedule from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Compensation: CAD 40.00–42.00 per hour, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and other relevant factors. Guaranteed 40-hour workweek.

What you will do

• Perform general mechanical repairs and maintenance, including brake, exhaust, alignment, ball joint, air conditioning, oil, fluid, and tire services.
• Diagnose vehicle issues through shop inspections and test drives, and maintain auction vehicles.
• Conduct frame, undercarriage, pre-sale, post-sale, motor vehicle safety, body, transmission, differential, and powertrain inspections.
• Complete required safety checklists and ensure all safety procedures are followed.
• Support shop maintenance, parts sourcing, customer quotes, and work-order entries.
• Provide guidance and assistance to apprentice technicians.

Requirements

• Red Seal Automotive Service Technician certification.
• Experience repairing and servicing mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems and components across a variety of vehicles.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to use a smartphone.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, safety-conscious, organized, and able to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Licence to complete Motor Vehicle Inspections.
• 5+ years of experience.
• Teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and self-starter skills.
