What you will do
- Build and operate backend services, data pipelines, developer tooling, and cloud infrastructure.
- Develop systems for the full-scale Build platform supporting the factory floor and supply chain.
- Write production code and design systems that scale from early production to volume manufacturing.
- Own features and services end-to-end, with senior-level engineers contributing to architecture and larger ambiguous problems.
- Collaborate with hardware, manufacturing, supply chain, and operations teams to translate real-world requirements into reliable systems.
- Review code, mentor engineers, and contribute to technical decisions and engineering standards.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- 2+ years of professional software engineering experience for the Software Engineer level, or 5+ years with production-system ownership for the Senior level.
- Production experience with backend services, data modeling, APIs, and system design.
- Strong proficiency in Go, Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, or another modern programming language, with the ability to work across the stack.
- Hands-on experience with AWS or equivalent cloud infrastructure, containers, CI/CD, and familiarity with Kubernetes.
- Working knowledge of observability, security, monitoring, alerting, access controls, secrets management, and cross-functional technical communication.
Nice to have
- Experience with manufacturing, supply chain, hardware, MES, WMS, ERP, factory, or industrial systems.
- Experience building greenfield platforms or internal tooling at a fast-growing startup.
- Experience with relational databases, SQL, data pipelines, and data warehousing.
- Experience with event-driven architectures, message queues, real-time or telemetry data, Linux, Git, and command-line tooling.
- Experience integrating third-party SaaS systems and making build-versus-buy decisions.
