Software Engineer (Fullstack)

Location: Lehi, Utah, United States; hybrid with 1 to 2 days per week in-office

Salary: $100,000–$140,000 base salary annually, excluding discretionary bonus and equity

What you will do

• Develop full-stack product features for the HR, payroll, and hiring platform.
• Build high-performance and high-availability applications for the hourly workforce.
• Design scalable distributed systems with a holistic perspective.
• Implement test-driven development and CI/CD practices to deliver reliable software.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, peer engineers, Product, GTM, and Customer Success stakeholders.
• Continuously improve engineering productivity and keep up with relevant technology trends.

Requirements

• 3 to 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Professional proficiency in one or more of Ruby on Rails, Python, Java, PHP, or JavaScript.
• Strong foundation in programming principles and design patterns.
• Experience building scalable systems and test-driven CI/CD.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL or MongoDB, and understanding of database selection trade-offs.
• Familiarity with AWS and effective written and verbal English communication.

Nice to have

• Experience with NextJS or other frontend technologies.
• Bilingual English and Chinese communication skills.
