Engineering Designer - Bumper, Fascia, Grille and Trim Components (Automotive)

Location: Hybrid in Warren, Michigan; onsite at the Warren Tech Center at least three days per week. This role is not eligible for relocation assistance.

What you will do

• Design and develop bumper, fascia, grille, and trim components from concept through production.
• Create 3D models and assemblies using NX CAD.
• Manage design data in Siemens Teamcenter, including configuration and version control.
• Account for extrusion, injection molding, stamping, and machining requirements during development.
• Conduct virtual integration and visualization mockups to assess feasibility, appearance, packaging, and vehicle integration.
• Participate in design reviews, troubleshoot integration issues, and provide technical recommendations to cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering technology, design engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience designing automotive exterior components, particularly bumpers, fascias, grilles, or trim.
• Advanced proficiency with NX or comparable CAD software.
• Experience with Siemens Teamcenter or a comparable product data-management system.
• Working knowledge of extrusion, injection molding, stamping, and machining processes, plus experience with virtual integration or visualization tools.
