Software Engineer for the Data Engineering Experience Team (Fullstack)

Location: Hybrid in Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Salary: CA$176.3K–CA$226.3K per year

What you will do

• Drive high-impact initiatives across data engineering product areas and the technology stack.
• Build scalable, high-performance web applications and frameworks for data ingestion, pipeline authoring, and observability.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and sister engineering teams to deliver coordinated features.
• Contribute to product vision and team planning.
• Mentor, coach, and empower junior team members.

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on software development experience, including significant fullstack development.
• Strong understanding of modern web application architecture, API design patterns, security, performance, and scale.
• Ability to work on the middle tier using NodeJS and Java.
• Strong written, verbal, and technical communication skills.
• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of database internals and SQL.
• Experience building customer-facing products.
