Director of Engineering (MarTech)

Location: Minneapolis, United States

Salary: $170,000–$228,000 annually, inclusive of a 30% bonus

What you will do

• Lead the Data Products and BI & Reporting Engineering teams as a senior engineering leader.
• Define engineering standards, coding guidelines, governance controls, testing strategies, release gates, and technical debt practices.
• Drive architectural consistency and scalability across the EMRge platform and associated services.
• Own the software development lifecycle, DevOps infrastructure, deployment processes, and developer experience.
• Manage and develop Engineering Managers and Lead Engineers through coaching, expectation-setting, and career development.
• Partner with Product, Data Science, and business leadership on roadmap planning, delivery forecasting, capacity management, and blocker resolution.

Requirements

• 10+ years of engineering leadership experience, including direct management of Engineering Managers or senior technical leads.
• Experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure and modern data infrastructure.
• Experience owning SDLC processes, DevOps maturity, quality governance, and delivery metrics.
• Track record of building high-performing engineering teams through coaching, accountability, and culture-building.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with technical, non-technical, product, business, and executive stakeholders.
• Previous hands-on software development experience in frontend, backend, or data engineering.

Nice to have

• Experience in a data-intensive SaaS or analytics product environment.
• Familiarity with SOC2 compliance requirements and implementation.
• Background in marketing technology, measurement, or analytics platforms.
