New Product Planner (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in North Reading, Massachusetts, US; candidates must be local to the position location. Relocation support and visa sponsorship are not available.

Salary: $66,500–$95,400 base salary, plus eligibility for discretionary bonuses.

What you will do

• Plan multi-level bills of materials and production work orders for complex electro-mechanical products.
• Coordinate sourcing strategies, supplier quotations, prototype parts, and long-term production costs.
• Manage material planning, requisitions, purchase orders, and critical shortage resolution.
• Monitor prototype and preproduction builds, report production status, and manage deviations and engineering changes.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, suppliers, and contract manufacturers on make-versus-buy decisions, RMAs, rework, and production transfers.
• Assess lead times, recommend risk buys, identify issues, and implement planning improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience.
• 2–4 years of experience with electro-mechanical products.
• Prior experience with planning and buying in an MRP or ERP system.
• Strong Excel skills, including spreadsheets, pivot tables, and formulas.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments in an agile environment.
• Must be local to North Reading, US; no relocation assistance or visa sponsorship is available.

• Experience with presentation software and database tools.
• Nominal travel availability of up to 10%.
