Staff Data Scientist (AI/ML)

Location: Hybrid in Austin, TX or Southlake, TX, United States

Salary: $145,000–$205,000 per year, plus potential bonus or incentive opportunities.

hirify.global is a financial services company with a centralized AI and Data Science organization that develops production-ready machine learning solutions for enterprise business units.

What you will do

• Analyze large-scale data and develop AI solutions using advanced algorithms and analytical techniques.
• Design and build end-to-end machine learning systems covering data ingestion, feature generation, model training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and value measurement.
• Translate business objectives into production-ready data science and AI solutions for multiple lines of business.
• Establish engineering standards for data science, including modular code, testing, version control, and production readiness.
• Lead complex initiatives involving advanced machine learning, recommender systems, real-time inference, and low-latency applications.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in data science and machine learning.
• Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field such as computer engineering, statistics, mathematics, physics, chemistry, or a related discipline.
• 6+ years of hands-on experience using Python and SQL to develop production-grade modular code.
• Experience delivering supervised and unsupervised machine learning solutions with documented evaluation metrics, performance tracking, and value measurement.
• Production experience applying natural language processing to unstructured data and designing LLM solutions such as retrieval-augmented generation, agent workflows, or fine-tuning.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including version control, CI/CD, and MLOps practices.

Nice to have

• Background in statistics, forecasting, or causal inference.
• Experience architecting machine learning solutions in GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Experience building and optimizing machine learning data pipelines and production model monitoring.
• Experience mentoring senior data scientists or engineers and improving code quality.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
