TL;DR
Staff Data Scientist (AI/ML): Leading the strategy, development, and deployment of scalable AI/GenAI and machine learning solutions with an accent on generative models and MLOps. What you will do
- Define and drive the AI/GenAI vision and roadmap to align with company objectives and future growth.
- Lead the development of state-of-the-art generative AI solutions using transformer models, diffusion models, and multi-modal architectures.
- Take end-to-end ownership of high-impact initiatives from problem formulation to production deployment and monitoring.
- Mentor and coach data scientists and ML practitioners to foster a culture of technical excellence.
- Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and leadership to deliver cohesive and impactful AI solutions.
- Champion MLOps best practices, model governance, and operational excellence to ensure robust solutions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience in data science or AI, with 5+ years working on AI/ML or GenAI solutions.
- Deep expertise in Python and frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Pandas, and LangChain.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) and modern MLOps practices.
- Advanced knowledge of LLMs, generative models, statistical modeling, and experimentation methodologies.
- Must be based in or be able to work hybrid in Boston, MA or Houston, TX.
- Bachelorβs or Masterβs degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field (Ph.D. preferred).
Nice to have
- Experience with multi-modal models, reinforcement learning, and causal inference.
- Advanced knowledge of GCP technologies such as VertexAI, BigQuery, and DataFlow.
- Contributions to the AI/ML community through publications, open-source projects, or speaking engagements.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies in a cross-functional product development environment.
