Senior UX Researcher (AI)

Location: Hybrid; employment is available in the United States for this role.

Salary: $194,000–$260,000 per year, plus potential equity and/or commission.

What you will do

• Lead research initiatives that inform product strategy and design.
• Identify knowledge gaps, assumptions, and open questions with product, design, engineering, and executive stakeholders.
• Plan, conduct, and analyze qualitative and quantitative studies, including usability tests, interviews, and in-product surveys.
• Triangulate user research, product usage, support, and market signals to identify meaningful patterns.
• Translate complex findings into clear stories and actionable recommendations.
• Help establish the research practice, improve processes, and embed user-centered thinking across the organization.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in UX research, product research, or a related field.
• Experience owning research projects end-to-end across qualitative and quantitative methods.
• Strong synthesis, storytelling, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Experience with generative research and iterative usability testing to shape product direction.
• Ability to work in ambiguous problem spaces, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality work on time.
• Curiosity about complex systems, technical workflows, and developer tools.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Human Factors, Computer Science, or a similar field.
• Experience working on AI products and understanding how AI affects user interactions.
• Familiarity with design thinking, usability evaluation, and A/B testing.
• Interest in leading and growing a small UX research team.
