Senior UX Researcher (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based in Oakland, California, or Denver, Colorado, United States, with two days in the office each week.

Salary: $174,391–$217,989 USD per year.

What you will do

• Plan, manage, and execute user research programs across focused product areas.
• Collaborate with design, product, and analytics to align research with user and stakeholder needs.
• Advise product and design teams on research methodology, question framing, and best practices for self-run studies.
• Identify emerging customer and user needs to support new product development.
• Synthesize research findings and analytics data into compelling narratives and lead ideation sessions.

Requirements

• Experience conducting mixed-method qualitative and quantitative research.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating research work, philosophy, and impact.
• Ability to lead projects through ambiguity with an entrepreneurial, self-motivated approach.
• Strong presentation and storytelling skills for influencing stakeholders.
• Strong interest in understanding users and the product’s contribution to their success.
• Experience using AI to plan studies, synthesize feedback, and work more efficiently.

Nice to have

• Experience in the data industry.
• Experience with survey methods, analysis, visualizations, SQL, and related data tools.
