What you will do

• Own and deliver novel thermal systems for hybrid aircraft powertrains.
• Select optimal technologies and materials for complex thermal designs to ensure they are light and cost-effective.
• Define and execute tests to prove system performance.
• Manage the design lifecycle, including interfacing with manufacturing and test teams.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, supply chain, and stress/FEA engineers.
• Present designs to stakeholders and provide technical rationale.

Requirements

• BS/MS/PhD in a related scientific or engineering field.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design.
• Strong fundamentals in complex system design and experience with stress and finite element analysis (FEA).
• Proficiency in Siemens NX and PDM/PLM environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting.
• Must have valid US work authorization (no sponsorship provided).

Nice to have

• Experience with hybrid-electric aircraft, turbogenerators, eVTOLs, or hybrid automotive powertrains.
• Familiarity with FAA or EASA certification.
• Knowledge of simulation model validation, calibration, and uncertainty quantification.
