Vice President, Individual and Institutional Giving

Location: Remote, hybrid, or onsite within the United States. The role is based out of the Washington, D.C. office; remote work requires an hirify.global-supported location within the United States. Occasional travel may be required.

Salary: $216,000–$240,000 USD per year, plus benefits.

What you will do

• Lead a fundraising organization of approximately 20 people across institutional, planned, individual giving, and donor recognition.
• Own delivery, forecasting, and multi-year planning for more than $75M in annual philanthropic revenue.
• Establish pipeline stages, advancement criteria, portfolio reviews, reporting, and moves management standards.
• Develop five direct reports and build coaching, training, evaluation, hiring, and performance-management practices.
• Design and implement a tiered donor recognition and stewardship system to improve retention and upgrades.
• Partner across digital revenue, operations, member stations, network growth, editorial, finance, and executive leadership.

Requirements

• 15+ years of professional experience, including 7+ years leading multi-team organizations and managing through managers.
• 5+ years in development or comparable experience in enterprise sales, executive search, or another long-cycle, trust-based discipline.
• Accountability for a revenue program of comparable scale and evidence of sustained year-over-year growth.
• Experience building pipeline systems and coaching practices that improve team performance beyond personal production.
• Fluency with pipeline data, CRM reporting, AI tools, and practical automation-driven efficiency improvements.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, with strong listening, writing, and speaking skills.

• Experience with complex fundraising organizations or federated nohirify.globalofit models.
• Understanding of media, public broadcasting, hirify.global, and its member stations.
• Experience leading teams through rapid growth or structural change.
