What you will do

• Provide paramedic services through ground ambulance operations across Nova Scotia.
• Respond to emergency 911 calls and non-emergency hospital transfers.
• Support community-based paramedicine, collaborative emergency centres, emergency preparedness, and special operations.
• Participate in a panel interview, objectively scored clinical evaluations, and a driving evaluation during pre-screening.

Requirements

• Eligible for registration with the College of Paramedics of Nova Scotia.
• Graduate of an accredited paramedic program.
• Nova Scotia Class 4 driver's licence or equivalent authorizing ambulance operation.
• Five-year driving abstract issued within 90 days of the application deadline.
• Criminal background check and vulnerable sector search issued within 90 days of the application deadline.
• Paramedic physical abilities testing through PC-PAT or OPPAT completed within the last 12 months, plus CEVOIII or CEVOIV certification.
