Senior AI Workflow Engineer (Enterprise AI)

Location: Austin, Texas; Mountain View, California; or Warren, Michigan

Salary: $202k–$310k per year for roles in California

What you will do

• Transform business workflows into secure, reusable, enterprise-grade AI solutions.
• Build backend services, integrations, data pipelines, and event-driven cloud services on GCP.
• Develop production-grade multi-step AI agents and bot-driven workflows using Vertex AI, Gemini, and external LLMs.
• Design HITL validation nodes, prompts, guardrails, exception handling, and failure-recovery logic.
• Implement telemetry, structured logging, evaluation frameworks, automated testing, CI/CD, and release environments.
• Define architecture standards, create reusable libraries and templates, document solutions, and lead code reviews and technical workshops.

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, platform architecture, or enterprise workflow automation.
• Strong experience with GCP transformations, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, API Gateway, IAM, OAuth2, and service accounts.
• Production experience with Python and/or JavaScript frameworks, including Node and TypeScript.
• Experience designing AI agents, multi-step workflow orchestration, production prompts, guardrails, telemetry, and evaluation frameworks.
• Experience integrating agents with enterprise systems through secure REST and webhook patterns.

Nice to have

• Experience with Vertex AI Agent Builder, LangChain, or LlamaIndex.
• Experience migrating Microsoft M365, Power Automate, or SharePoint workflows to GCP.
• Knowledge of Vertex AI AutoSxS, Ragas, NeMo Guardrails, and HITL workflows.
• Google Cloud professional certifications.
