Product Owner (Cybersecurity)

Location: Ft George G Meade, MD; National Capital Region (NCR); or San Antonio, TX. Onsite work is required.

Salary: $122,000–$253,000 per year

What you will do

• Define product vision, strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle priorities.
• Translate operational needs into epics, features, and prioritized user stories.
• Decompose features into implementable stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Manage backlog refinement and participate in SAFe ceremonies, including PI Planning, iteration planning, and reviews.
• Accept or reject completed work against the Definition of Done.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, customers, development teams, Government/SETA Product Managers, and other teams to manage dependencies and maximize product value.

Requirements

• At least 14 years of professional experience, including 5+ years as a Product Owner or in a similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent substitution.
• Deep understanding of Agile and SAFe methodologies.
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, or similar Agile management tools.
• Strong understanding of offensive cyber operations mission requirements and sufficient technical background to understand system architecture and constraints.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph and U.S. citizenship required.

Nice to have

• Certified SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM).
• Willingness to obtain the SAFe POPM certification within 90 days.
