Scrum Master / Product Owner

Location: Remote-friendly with occasional onsite requirements in the Washington, DC Metro area. The role must be performed in the United States; candidates must reside and be authorized to work in the US.

Salary: $89,261–$183,610 annually based on full-time employment.

What you will do

• Facilitate sprint planning, standups, reviews, retrospectives, and continuous improvement.
• Own backlog creation, refinement, prioritization, and acceptance criteria.
• Manage CIO and COR approval workflows, governance documentation, and stakeholder commitments.
• Coordinate releases, deployments, release notes, notifications, and go-live readiness.
• Track delivery metrics and defect KPIs, escalating technical debt, performance issues, and process gaps.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity, data, enterprise architecture, and engineering teams, and support testing, reporting, documentation, and training materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in product management, Scrum delivery, or Agile program management in IT environments.
• 3+ years supporting federal IT programs and government approval workflows.
• Active CSM, CSPO, or equivalent Agile certification.
• 2+ years in DevSecOps environments, including CI/CD pipelines and secure coding practices.
• U.S. citizenship, U.S. work authorization, residence in the US, and ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust background investigation are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with HHS, NIH, FDA, or other health-focused federal agencies.
• Experience with Jira, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, or ITSM platforms.
• SAFe certification or scaled Agile delivery experience.
• Familiarity with NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, or Zero Trust architecture.
