Operations Supervisor

Location: Onsite at 900 Sylvan Avenue, Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, United States; requires availability for nights, weekends, holidays, and short-notice overtime.

Salary: USD 81,000–88,000 per year

What you will do

• Supervise shifts responsible for on-air cable operations, distribution channels, and streaming events.
• Monitor and maintain satellite, fiber, terrestrial, and cloud-based distribution streams.
• Ensure reliable on-air schedules and support 99.999% channel availability across the broadcast operation.
• Coordinate day-of-air issue resolution with Sales Operations, Engineering, Programming, Scheduling, Promotions, and brand leaders.
• Lead live event execution, including transmission routing, satellite tuning, fiber bookings, schedule adjustments, and contingency decisions.
• Maintain operational documentation and SOPs, support record/turnaround processes, and assist with operational improvement projects.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in an on-air broadcast environment.
• At least 3 years of knowledge of television production, broadcast operations, and news, sports, or entertainment technical production.
• Strong computer, communication, facilitation, troubleshooting, prioritization, and process skills.
• Ability to lead technical operators and adapt to changing scenarios in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work any scheduled shift, including nights, weekends, holidays, and short-notice overtime in a 24/7 broadcast operation.

Nice to have

• BA or BS in a related field.
• Three years of experience leading live television events and coaching or supervising others.
• Experience with digital broadcast systems, cloud-based automation, real-time systems, digital video and audio, troubleshooting, and testing.
• Knowledge of staffing rules and off-hours personnel scheduling.
