What you will do

• Install, service, and troubleshoot telecommunications equipment for video, voice, and data services.
• Perform maintenance on RF, analog, microwave, fiber optic, and AC/DC components.
• Use test equipment to measure and adjust signal strength to ensure optimum reception.
• Conduct preventative maintenance, including underground cable locates and outage response.
• Communicate technical information to customers and promote additional service offerings.
• Maintain company vehicles and equipment stock while adhering to safety policies.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months experience in a technical role or related background.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to work in a remote arctic environment and endure extreme weather conditions.
• Physical ability to work at heights up to 40 feet (poles, ladders, buckets) and in trenches.
• Ability to lift and maneuver equipment up to 70 pounds.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in electronics or a relevant field.
• Previous telecommunications experience.
