Senior AV Field Engineer (Audiovisual Systems)

Location: Boston Metropolitan Area, USA; must live within the New England territory. Frequent travel to customer and construction sites is required, including local travel within a two-hour driving distance and occasional remote travel by car or airplane.

Salary: $117,270–$143,330 per year

What you will do

• Commission, test, fine-tune, and optimize complex audio, video, display, control, and networking systems in the field.
• Coordinate with system programmers to load code, update control systems, and troubleshoot issues remotely.
• Diagnose technical problems and formulate solutions across equipment from multiple manufacturers.
• Lead field teams on large projects when required and coordinate with project managers, engineers, customers, and other stakeholders.
• Provide remote assistance, training, and mentorship to other field engineers.
• Stay current with technology, firmware updates, and common field issues.

Requirements

• Five or more years of directly related field engineering experience.
• AVIXA CTS certification is required.
• Experience with field installation and/or system design.
• Knowledge of audio, video, and network-based systems and equipment.
• Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical problems.
• Valid driver's license in the state of residence and ability to work within the New England territory.

Nice to have

• AVIXA CTS-D or CTS-I certification.
• ISF display certification.
• DSP certification from Biamp, QSC, or BSS.
• Level-one programming or configuration certification from Crestron or Extron.
• Networking certifications or additional technology-specific certifications.
