Senior Labor Relations Consultant

Location: Remote opportunity with extensive travel of approximately 75% across hirify.global sites; locations listed in Livonia and Muskegon, Michigan, United States.

Salary: $122,855–$202,711 per year

What you will do

• Provide senior labor relations consultation to HR business partners, executives, leadership teams, and other Centers of Excellence.
• Lead medium-risk collective bargaining, union contract negotiations, contract interpretation, grievances, mediation, and arbitration initiatives.
• Conduct complex colleague and labor relations investigations, including matters involving external agency claims.
• Develop and implement labor relations strategies, programs, policies, tools, communications, and leadership education.
• Analyze labor relations data and assess workplace vulnerabilities to reduce organizational risk and improve colleague relations.
• Provide labor relations expertise during mergers, divestitures, and acquisitions, including analysis of union status and collective bargaining agreements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, labor or industrial relations, business administration, or a related field, with 5–7 years of progressively responsible labor relations experience.
• 5–7 years of experience negotiating union contracts and managing grievances, arbitrations, campaigns, and NLRB proceedings.
• Advanced knowledge of labor relations, collective bargaining, dispute resolution, employment laws, federal and state regulations, and NLRB decisions.
• Exceptional analytical, consultative, interpersonal, written, verbal, presentation, diplomacy, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency in Office 365 and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive data.
• Must be able to travel extensively, approximately 75% of the time, with minimal advance notice.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in human resources or labor and industrial relations, or a Juris Doctorate/LL.B.
• Prior healthcare experience.
