VP, Software Engineering

Location: Mechanicsburg, Cumberland, Pennsylvania, United States; hybrid work from home near a hirify.global Hub is available, with required commuting to the nearest Hub for in-person meetings, training, and culture events. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Salary: $155,000–$260,000 USD annually, plus eligibility for an annual performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Lead small software engineering teams and oversee day-to-day delivery.
• Facilitate sprint planning, story pointing, project estimation, and capacity planning.
• Assign work, balance workloads, remove blockers, and monitor delivery progress.
• Coordinate engineering efforts with product, design, QA, senior management, and other stakeholders.
• Develop talent through coaching, mentoring, performance feedback, and evaluations.
• Maintain documentation covering processes, technical decisions, and codebases.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent field experience.
• 7+ years of increasing leadership experience in software or technology.
• Experience driving strategic technology development and modernization.
• Strong experience with sprint planning, story pointing, project scope assessment, and cohesive delivery planning.
• Strong coaching, mentoring, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• U.S. work authorization is required; employment visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
