Manager, Software Engineering (AI)

Location: Mountain View, US; hybrid work with in-office days two days per week at the headquarters.

Salary: $266,000–$326,000 base per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead and mentor a full-stack team of backend and mobile engineers as a hands-on player-coach.
• Design, develop, and iterate on early-stage savings products from 0–1.
• Embed AI-native practices and automation into planning, coding, triage, prioritization, and delivery.
• Translate ambiguous business goals into technical roadmaps with product managers, analysts, and other cross-functional partners.
• Drive architecture, implementation, code quality, and scalable engineering foundations for new products.
• Own performance management, hiring, development planning, and team growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including leadership as an individual contributor or engineering manager.
• Ability to design architecture and write clean, scalable code while mentoring engineers.
• Experience leading teams delivering high-quality output on critical infrastructure.
• Hands-on fluency with AI-native engineering workflows and tools such as Cursor and Claude.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup from Mountain View, US, with in-office attendance two days per week.
