Senior Datacom Administrator (CA Datacom)

What you will do

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain CA Datacom database management systems on IBM z/OS.
• Define, structure, and document database environments and operational procedures.
• Manage user access and implement database security controls using enterprise standards.
• Develop, maintain, and test backup, restore, and disaster-recovery plans.
• Monitor performance, conduct capacity planning, and optimize database parameters for high availability and throughput.
• Support end users and application developers, lead incident root-cause analysis, and coordinate database project plans and enhancements.

Requirements

• Expertise in CA Datacom database administration in an IBM z/OS mainframe environment.
• Strong knowledge of z/OS, JCL, TSO/ISPF, JES2/SDSF, and SMP/E.
• Experience with performance tuning, capacity planning, backup and recovery, and disaster-recovery testing.
• Knowledge of RACF or ACF2 for database access control and compliance.
• Experience with incident, problem, and change management following ITIL processes.
• Proficiency with mainframe automation tools or scripting languages such as REXX or CLIST; fluent written and spoken English is required.

• Spanish language proficiency for collaboration with Latin America teams.
