TL;DR
Senior Engineer, Infrastructure Operations (Storage/Backup): Operating and improving mission-critical data centre infrastructure with an accent on storage administration, backup services, disaster recovery, and capacity planning. Focus on maintaining RTO/RPO compliance, designing reliable infrastructure operations, and solving complex availability and scalability challenges across a geo-diverse organization.
Location: Coyoacan, Mexico; remote work is required

What you will do
- Operate and support storage area network infrastructure across regional mission-critical data centres.
- Administer, support, and manage backup services.
- Implement physical storage and compute hardware projects in data centres.
- Coordinate with project management, architecture, and multidisciplinary infrastructure engineers to deliver new initiatives.
- Monitor infrastructure and maintain compliance with RTO/RPO requirements and uptime objectives.
- Perform capacity planning, forecasting, and continuous improvement activities.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of experience with storage and backup technologies, including FC block, NAS, object storage, and SAN zoning.
- Experience with Dell EMC and NetApp platforms, including PowerMax, ECS, Unity, Data Domain, AFF C-Series, and ASA A-Series.
- Experience with Cisco MDS and backup technologies such as PowerProtect Data Manager, Veeam, and NetBackup.
- Experience with disaster recovery technologies such as Zerto.
- Professional proficiency in English is required.
- Strong communication, collaboration, systems-thinking, self-management, and independent research skills.
Nice to have
- DevOps practices and experience with Windows or Linux.
- Virtualization and cloud technologies, including VMware, Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Network design, protocols, and concepts, including Cisco ACI, TCP/IP, and DNS.
- IT tooling and management systems such as monitoring, DCIM, and security tools.
