Database Admin (SQL Server/PostgreSQL): Maintaining reliable and scalable SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments in collaboration with database, cloud, DevOps, and application teams with an accent on migrations, automation, security, and database reliability. Focus on troubleshooting performance and availability issues, supporting cloud migrations, and building backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery capabilities.

What you will do
- Monitor and maintain SQL Server and PostgreSQL database environments.
- Assist with database installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and routine maintenance.
- Participate in on-premises-to-cloud and SQL Server-to-PostgreSQL migrations.
- Support backup, recovery, replication, clustering, and disaster recovery processes.
- Troubleshoot performance, connectivity, capacity, security, and availability issues.
- Automate database operations, maintain documentation, and collaborate with application development, cloud, and DevOps teams.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
- Understanding of relational database concepts, SQL, indexing, backups, recovery, and performance fundamentals.
- Familiarity with high availability, disaster recovery, database security, and access management.
- Knowledge of Windows or Linux operating systems and Azure or another public cloud platform.
- Basic scripting skills with PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar tools.
- Bachelor’s degree, relevant technical qualification, or equivalent practical experience, along with strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with Azure database and infrastructure services.
- Familiarity with Ansible, Terraform, GitHub Actions, Datadog, NoSQL, or modern data platforms.
- Experience with SQL Server or PostgreSQL migrations and database-related certifications.
