Project Manager - Research and Development

Location: Apex, NC or Bedford, MA, United States

Salary: $98,040–$120,000 per year, depending on the geographic market. Annual bonuses and other compensation may also be provided.

What you will do

• Lead cross-functional R&D teams from project initiation through closure.
• Create and manage project plans, charters, timelines, documentation, and closure presentations.
• Track risks, issues, dependencies, assumptions, actions, decisions, scope, quality, and delivery deadlines.
• Manage internal and technical resources and provide reliable project updates to stakeholders.
• Host project meetings and attend customer meetings as needed to align requirements and actions.
• Prepare project business reviews and present progress to senior executives and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• 0–3 years of project management experience and 3–5 years of cumulative experience working on or managing projects.
• Ability to collaborate across engineering, product management, procurement, sales, manufacturing, finance, and leadership.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with project management tools such as Smartsheet or MS Project.
• Good verbal and written English communication skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States permanently and continuously without company sponsorship.

Nice to have

• PMP certification.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or ISO 13485 compliance.
