TL;DR

Project Manager 5 (Nuclear Project Development) (SMR Technology/Supply Chain): Managing the planning, manufacturing, procurement, and delivery of customer projects for small modular reactor technology with an accent on cost, schedule, quality, safety, and contract execution. Focus on coordinating complex matrix teams, resolving supply chain and manufacturing risks, and overseeing engineering, construction, and contractor interfaces.

Location: Remote within the contiguous United States, with a preference for the Houston, Texas office; national and international travel may be required.

Salary: $150,537–$181,683 annual target base salary; full base salary range of $134,964–$211,098 annually.

What you will do

  • Plan, execute, control, monitor, report, and close supply chain projects supporting customer product manufacturing and delivery.
  • Coordinate manufacturing, procurement, transportation, inspection, storage, and contractor activities across a matrix organization.
  • Track project budgets, schedules, earned value metrics, cost estimates, quality objectives, and delivery requirements.
  • Identify, escalate, and resolve manufacturing and supply chain issues, risks, and anticipated challenges.
  • Develop and maintain project policies, procedures, procurement documentation, statements of work, supplier execution plans, and change records.
  • Present project status to stakeholders and interface with management-level engineering and construction organizations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, project management, business, or a related discipline.
  • At least 15 years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, project management, or a related complex, highly interfaced field.
  • Experience managing engineering and construction execution projects and understanding construction practices.
  • Strong contract negotiation, contract change management, risk assessment, and quality assurance capabilities.
  • Eligibility to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810 is required.
  • Ability to travel nationally and internationally and work effectively with contractors, suppliers, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Nice to have

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience manufacturing nuclear components.
  • Experience with new nuclear project development.
  • Experience in supply chain contract management.
