TL;DR
Civil Project Engineer (P.Eng.) (Civil Engineering): Preparing and reviewing technical deliverables for land development and linear infrastructure projects with an accent on stormwater management, site servicing, water resources engineering, and detailed engineering drawings. Focus on designing and reviewing stormwater systems, applying Visual OTTHYMO, PCSWMM, and HEC-RAS modelling, and coordinating project delivery with clients, regulators, vendors, and subcontractors.

Location: Sault Ste. Marie, Canada; hybrid working options are available, with periodic travel required.

Salary: $80,000–$107,000 annually

What you will do

  • Deliver civil engineering projects involving lot grading plans, ICI developments, site plan control applications, and residential subdivisions.
  • Prepare and review stormwater management designs, reports, functional servicing studies, and detailed engineering drawings.
  • Apply Visual OTTHYMO, PCSWMM, and HEC-RAS for technical modelling.
  • Provide on-site technical review and general review certification when required.
  • Prepare project cost estimates, bid documentation, and bid evaluations.
  • Coordinate project requirements with project managers, clients, regulatory entities, vendors, and subcontractors.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience working as a P.Eng. in a civil engineering role in Ontario.
  • Valid P.Eng. licence through PEO required.
  • Strong knowledge of stormwater management, site servicing, and water resources engineering.
  • Experience with the Municipal Class EA Planning process and relevant legislation, guidelines, and standards.
  • University degree in Civil Engineering or Water Resources Engineering.
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and technical modelling software; valid Class G driver's licence required.
